The Littlest Hedgehogs, Day 18

Harlo and Rhys, Day 18

The NICU is becoming a bit of a second home. Harlo is doing pretty well - up to 1090 grams and only having "dips" for reasons. Rhys is holding his own, up onto full feeds at last and working on putting together breathing and eating. Danielle had a couple days this week where she held one twin in the afternoon and the other in the evening. Jason's skill set now includes snuggling, diaper changing, temperature taking, sponge-bathing, and suctioning. We are hoping this next week will see Rhys have his IV removed and more growth. Tonight we take in cupcakes for the lovely ladies who patiently take care of the little ones for us.

  1. Rhys (?--the pic on the right) looks like a firefly.

Both are starting to look healthy. Hope all continues to go well. We love you and think about you every day. Take care of those little nippers!

  2. Happy Easter early! What great news you sent. We think it is awesome to get the IV out of Harlo and soon for Rhys. Progress. Congratulations on the boys gaining a bit, too. The cupcake treats are a great idea, but save 2 for yourselves. You deserve them for all your patience and hard work with the twins. You are doing a marvelous job and we are so proud of you. Let's keep the super news going. Give the boys a snuggle for us. Sally and Jeanne

  3. Anastasia and I are very happy to see that the 2 little guys are doing very well. We've been pretty busy lately (that's why you don't hear too much from us) but we keep an eye on the blog and think about you every day. Take care of the twins and yourself.
